A wardrobe like that
belongs in safe hands

Clothes at this level are not simply clothes. They are an investment, and part of how a person is seen. Renta Staffing Agency finds people in Yerevan who know the difference between cashmere and wool, and how the best labels should be kept.

  • Experience with the top labels is a condition, not a preference
  • Steam generators, steamers and professional machines are the tools of the job
  • They are willing to travel outside Armenia

Areas

Four areas of responsibility

A mistake here ruins a garment worth thousands. Skill here is not a preference. It is the condition of the job.

Clothes and fabrics

Silk, cashmere, fur, leather and suede. Pressing and steaming chosen to suit the material.

Accessories

Cleaning and reviving shoes, care of bags from the best houses, looking after the fastenings.

The dressing room

Where everything is kept, a digital catalogue of the wardrobe, storage between seasons.

Travel

Cases packed for the length of the trip and the dress code, and travelling with the client.

Duties

What the work covers

How much there is depends on the size of the wardrobe and how much the client travels.

  • Cleaning and caring for silk, cashmere, fur, leather and suede
  • Pressing and steaming, judged by what each material will take
  • Womenswear with complex construction and delicate trims
  • Men’s suits: collars, cuffs and lapels pressed back into shape

  • Checking buttons, zips and rivets, and putting them right
  • Putting clothes, shoes and accessories away in the dressing room
  • Keeping the digital wardrobe catalogue up to date
  • Preparing garments for storage between seasons
  • Packing cases for the trip and the dress code

Yerevan and the rest of Armenia

Why this matters in Armenia

Yerevan now has more households whose wardrobes would not look out of place in London or Milan – and clothes like that call for proper care. Very few people in Yerevan do this work. Judging it yourself is difficult, and one mistake can ruin a coat that cost more than the month’s wages. We carry that risk for you.

  • Our own register of candidates, with references we have taken up ourselves
  • First profiles within 3–5 days of signing
  • A replacement if the person is not right for you
  • Confidentiality at every stage of the search

Questions

What people ask most often

How is this different from a dry cleaner?

A dry cleaner cleans a garment and sends it back. A wardrobe manager runs the whole cycle: daily care, storage, the dressing room, preparing for the season and for trips, keeping an eye on the fastenings. It is continuous work, not something you buy once.

What does this work cost in Yerevan?

It is a narrow skill and the salary reflects that. Our fee is 50 % of the monthly salary, of which the client pays 25 %. We give a range once we have talked about the size of the wardrobe and the hours.

Can they travel with us?

Yes. We look for candidates willing to work outside Armenia. The terms for trips are set out separately in the agreement.

How do you test knowledge of materials?

At interview we ask specific questions: how a particular fabric is cared for, what temperatures it takes, which products are used, how to handle decoration and fastenings. General answers are not enough. We want the detail.

What about confidentiality?

They have access to the client’s personal belongings, so we check the background and the references more thoroughly than usual. Your details are not passed to candidates unless they need them.
