A housekeeper –
and the house looks after itself

Cleaning, laundry, ironing, a kitchen kept straight – it all takes hours a family does not have. Renta Staffing Agency places housekeepers in Yerevan and across Armenia. Every one of them has been through our checks, and knows when to be invisible.

  • Passport, health certificate and a criminal record certificate – checked before you see a profile
  • An assessment of character: honesty, steadiness under pressure, tact
  • Trial days before you decide

When it is time

When you can no longer do it all yourself

A housekeeper is not a luxury. She is a question of arithmetic: what your own hours are worth. More families in Armenia are working that out.

Work eats the day

By the evening there is neither the time nor the will left for the house.

Small children at home

A mother cannot be everywhere, and the house comes last.

A large place

A house or a big flat needs steady care, not weekend blitzes.

You want your evenings back

Evenings and weekends returned to you and the family.

Duties

What the work covers

The duties go into the agreement before the first day, so there is no argument later about what was meant.

  • Cleaning the rooms every day, with a deep clean when it comes round
  • Washing, ironing and caring for clothes
  • Cleaning the windows, carpets and upholstery
  • Seeing to the kitchen, the bathrooms and the cloakrooms
  • Cooking for the family, by arrangement
  • Watering and looking after the plants
  • Keeping the wardrobes and store cupboards in order
  • Doing the food and household shopping, if you want it
  • Paying bills and running errands, by arrangement
  • Looking after the pets, by arrangement

Yerevan and the rest of Armenia

Why families in Yerevan are asking for this

Life in Yerevan runs faster than it used to. Work, children and everything else compete for the same hours. Armenian custom has always put the house first: clean, warm, ready for guests. A good housekeeper holds that standard for you and gives the hours back.

  • Our own register of candidates, with references we have taken up ourselves
  • First profiles within 3–5 days of signing
  • A replacement if the person is not right for you
  • Confidentiality at every stage of the search
  • Yerevan and the regions of Armenia

How the payment works

  • At signing the client pays their 25 %, and the employee’s 25 % in one go.
  • The employee then receives their first month’s salary minus that 25 %.
  • On a replacement the new employee pays us 25 %. For you the replacement is free.
  • A shorter agreement is possible; we discuss the terms case by case.

Questions

What people ask most often

What does a housekeeper cost in Yerevan?

The salary follows the market and the size of the job: the floor area, how often you want cleaning, whether she lives in, extras such as the shopping and the pets. Our fee is worked out from that salary – 50 % of one month, of which the client pays 25 %. We will name the range at the first consultation.

Can a housekeeper live in?

Yes. She lives with the family and is there through the day. The living arrangements, the days off and overtime go into the agreement beside the list of duties.

Do you check candidates?

Every candidate goes through five stages: documents (passport, health certificate and a criminal record certificate), calls to previous employers, an assessment of character, an interview in person and a trial period. A profile reaches you only after that.

How long does the search take?

First profiles come 3–5 days after the agreement is signed, usually three to five candidates. A narrow brief takes longer – a live-in housekeeper who has looked after antiques, for instance.

What if the housekeeper does not suit?

The agreement allows up to three free replacements. If the temperament, the hours or the standard of work turns out wrong, we find someone else and you pay nothing more.
